Wedges are scoring clubs and scoring better is what golf is all about. Wedges should match the length and flex and be close to the lie angles of your irons but not usually the same especially in your higher lofts such as 56 and 60 degrees. The critical aspects of wedges are bounce angles for angle of attack and lofts for distance gapping.

A player with a steep angle of attack will perform better with more bounce on their wedges and a player with a shallower angle of attack will perform better with less bounce.

Bounce angles are measured from the front to the back on the sole of the club.
Distance gapping is critical so that you can play all types of shots (high, low and medium and play to different distances (20-100m).
